Nature is not just something that you look at or use or consume (heat, cold, water, food, building materials for our homes) – something we have or can ignore. Nature is real and genuine, and we are part of it. And it is an important part of us. A guided tour can enhance the understanding and our point of view with regard to food, animals, plants and types of agriculture, as we know it. This includes ways of a future-oriented development.
We dispose of ample experience in guided tours – for example, through visitors of nature schools and the families that rent our vacation apartments as well as school classes, where those youngsters, who normally are the least interested, now stand in the front row in order not to miss a single word. Or we meet with interested students, who study a particular topic or have a task at hand to be solved. They can be students of a junior high school, elementary school or high school or are being educated in a field, which has specifically to do with food, nature and agriculture. The target group could also be senior persons who often have experience and want to expand their knowledge, which brings back memories when they experience the wildflowers in the meadows and the farm life, as we practice it here.
In the summertime there are guided tours of the island for families and visitors of Aeroe, as well as our own guests, who stay in one of our BED&NATURE apartments. Please consult the calendar on side ? for the dates of our open tours during the high season. If you visit Vesteraas some other time of the year or come to Aeroe with your family or a group of pupils, students or the elderly, you can book guided tours that are tailor-made for your stay on the island. The tours can be carried out both in Danish and English.
