Vesteraas collaborates with Naturturisme I/S and is part of a project within the Nature Tourism, “Blue Bases”. The aim is to promote year-round outdoor activities in the South Funen Archipelago. 3 shelters were built in March 2015.
This 3 shelters are small huts made of wood. The location is exceptional, on the outskirts, where land and sea are meeting. Nearby is Eskebæks creek with its gurgling waters, that mix with the sound of the beach pebbles. The two largest cabins offer the opportunity to stay – also overnight, and they all have shutters, blinds and doors that can be opened to let in sound, light, air and fragrances. If you close ranks, there is room for 6 respectively 3 beds, and there is seating available for 6 people. The third Shelter is a toilet.
Shelters can be used by people who come from the water in a kajak or such visitors, who are walking on the beach. The permission for stay and booking for its use is being given on the farm. Drinking water can be fetched on Vesteraas, as well as firewood and a nice piece of meat for the grill. For one night you pay 30 DKK per Person.
