The workshops, which NATURGEJST are offering, give participants ample opportunity to playfully experience their senses. This is happening through our hands and bodies, which are being used in order to find, catch and prepare the food, that we find in nature. Communication is then taking on a bodily dimension, since the experience is happening via our hands and mouths and the harvest is examined right there. It is important, to dress appropriately for outdoors activities, in order to fully embrace those new discoveries, which are awaiting us.
The nice thing about being together, in order to prepare food in the open, is the fact, that everybody can participate. Experience has shown us, that it does not matter, if the participants are school classes or a group of elderly men, with whom we are out in nature in order to live experiences through our own body. The joy of gatherig one´s own food and share it with others is inherent. Because that is, what it is all about, when we talk about those meals. We oftentimes tend to forget that and do not take the time or the opportunity to expand in the gathering and preparing of the food, that we share – an experience, which buying in a nearby supermarket could never give us.
If you are coming with a group and wish for a particular workshop with a theme like food, nature or agriculture, please let us know. NATURGEJST disposes of ample experience in order to transport such themes and can conduct workshops in English and Danish. If you are renting one of our BED&NATURE Apartments or stay some other place on the island and come with a group of school children, students or older persons, you can chose and structure workshops, so that they meet your requirements.
